Aaron Judge and Tall Order Socks

During the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, Tall Order received a fortuitous call from the New York Yankees clubhouse: Aaron Judge was in dire need of high-performance socks that would fit his size 17 feet, and we were tasked with engineering a solution for the baseball star.

In collaboration with United Legwear and Apparel Co., we developed a pair of custom compression, cushioned, gripper socks that would suit Judge's needs. On April 6, 2021, Judge donned the socks for the first time in a game at Yankee Stadium, and the results were astounding. He achieved an impressive 3-5 batting line, with 4 RBIs and a mammoth home run. These are the only socks he's worn on the field since that day, and his record speaks for itself. Aaron voted with his feet.

Today, more than 80% of the New York Yankees wear Tall Order socks on the field, in addition to the many other MLB teams also wearing them. This group includes Dodgers, Braves, and Orioles, to name a few.

Aaron Judge and United Legwear and Apparel Co. are now equity partners of Tall Order – sharing in our unwavering mission to provide support to non-profit organizations, including first responders and military families.

Over the past few months, Aaron has worked with Tall Order to adapt his custom socks for everyday activities. His gripper technology is now available to everyone, whether you're using them for baseball, tennis, pickleball, golf, running or just walking in the neighborhood. Aaron has also developed a line of undergarments and activewear with comfort and performance in mind.
