Twins Michael and Daniel Friedman run a company that donates a portion of its profits to help support those who suffer loss from terrorism and conflict.

After their father, Andrew Friedman, went missing, the twins’ mother, Lisa, took them with her as she searched for him at Manhattan hospitals and fire stations. The brothers say that doing what they could to try to find him helped soften the blow of his death.

Mr. Friedman worked at Carr Futures in the North Tower. His tortoiseshell glasses and silver cellphone are in the 9/11 Memorial & Museum.
